In a world where relationships are strained by political beliefs and an all-consuming war, 23-year-old Tamar tries to keep her friends and her father close. But her Israeli background makes that impossible. While her friends protest for Palestine and her grandparents experience the war in Israel, Tamar becomes entangled between loyalty and self-preservation. Safe Room is a powerful portrait of identity, loss, and the longing for connection in a world that is falling further and further apart.

In an empty space that constantly shifts in form, Tamar is overwhelmed by voices, opinions, and memories. Her friends become giants, her father an echo. In this theatrical rollercoaster, reality never settles but feels like a nightmare in which Tamar must keep moving to avoid going under.

Created by a young team that refuses to simplify what is complex.
Because empathy doesn’t arise from saying the right thing, but from truly listening.
