Recently, Lethe Simulationswelten in Hamburg has begun offering one of its most unique simulations. Behind the gates of an industrial hall on the former Thyssenkrupp site, visitors can explore a village shrouded in dense fog. Surrounded by fantastic mountain panoramas, ten closely nestled wooden huts house the village’s inhabitants.
Now imagine you ended up there. For a certain period, you would be assigned to one of the families—not with your real age, but as if you had returned to your 13-year-old self.
Complementing the ancient-series ANTHROPOLIS, which deals with the founding myths of a city, SIGNA’s new immersive theater production simulates the parallel universe of a village community.
With Die Ruhe, their last production at the Deutsches SchauSpielHaus, SIGNA was invited to the Berlin Theatertreffen in 2022.
In the 2024 critics' poll by the professional journal Theater heute, Signa Köstler, Tristan Kold, and Lorenz Vetter were awarded "Stage Design of the Year" for The 13th Year.
Also awarded at the virtual nachtkritik Theatertreffen 2024.
